MORRISVILLE – (Nasdaq: TKLC) is putting a familiar face in charge of its financials.

Gregory Rush, a five-year veteran at the communications technology company, is the firm’s new chief financial officer. He replaces Bill Everett, who retired as of March 31.

Rush had served as Tekelec’s chief accounting officer and corporate controller.

"Greg brings a wealth of high-tech public company experience to this role, and has been a key member of Tekelec’s finance team for the past five years," said Frank Plastina, Tekelec’s chief financial officer, in a statement. "He is a talented professional and I look forward to working closely with him as our new CFO."

Rush worked earlier in his career for Quintiles, Siebel Systems, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Tekelec will announce its latest quarterly financial results on May 6 before markets open.
