KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Kannapolis Spine and Wellness Center has become the first chiropractic practice to join the as an enrollment site.

The study, which stands for Measurement to Understand the Reclassification of Disease Of Cabarrus/Kannapolis and is named for founder David Murdock, is trying to enroll 50,000 local adults.

Nearly 3,100 people have signed up for Duke University’s long-term medical research study based at the Research Campus in Kannapolis.

The study expects to have 20 sites by June. People interested in enrolling, which takes about an hour and requires blood and urine samples, must make an appointment.
