CARY, N.C. — N.C. Gov. Beverly Perdue is hosting four other fellow Democratic governors in North Carolina for a quick conference to talk about how technology can help breed creative and innovative policies in state government.
The regional policy conference begins on Tuesday night at a Cary hotel and runs until Wednesday afternoon and also includes a fundraiser designed to help keep Democratic gubernatorial candidates.
Other governors scheduled to attend are association chairman Jack Markell of Delaware, Martin O’Malley of Maryland, Phil Bredesen of Tennessee and Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania.
The event is closed to the press. Tickets were $250, but certain high-level donors to the association can get in free.
