• MicroMass lands new client

CARY, N.C. – North Carolina’s Advanced Medical Technologies Center for Innovation has selected to provide marketing and other services.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The center is supported by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

MicroMass is based in Cary.

• Saffron adds new features to its software

CARY, N.C. – Privately held software firm Saffron Technology is beefing up its experienced-based decision making product.

Five additional query and application development solutions have been added to the Version 8.0 of Saffron’s Natural Intelligence Platform.

"When making decisions, people draw on their experience, and reason their way to an answer,” said Saffron Chief Executive Officer Manny Aparicio. “They search their memories for similarities, patterns or trends, to find connections. By applying Natural Intelligence to your data, Saffron REST APIs work much the same way: they literally reason, by applying the experience in your data toward solving your most critical problems.”

• Call center to add 60 positions in Arden, N.C.

ARDEN, N.C. – is adding 60 workers at its call center operations in Arden.

The additional jobs are needed to support new programs and initiatives, the company said.

CPU2 employs more than 600 people – all in the U.S. – and operates two call centers as well as an order fulfillment operation in Arden. It also has other operations in California.
