RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Melissa Hathaway, a former cybersecurity advisor to the Obama administration, is joining (Nasdaq: CSCO) as a senior advisor for its security team.

Hathaway will be introduced Thursday in a live Cisco webcast during which the company also will discuss efforts to better integrate partnering on security between private sector firms and the public sector.

The webcast also will include findings from Cisco’s annual security report.

Now president of Hathaway Global Strategies, Hathaway served as acting senior director of cyberspace security for the National Security Council.
