RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – (NYSE:IBM) has named new leaders for both its software and Lotus business unit,
IBM executives told channel partners about the appointments at the Lotusphere business conference in Orlando, Fla.
Bob Picciano has been promoted from general manager of the Lotus group to general manager of all software sales for Big Blue.
Alistair Rennie, who had been vice president of Lotus development and support, will replace Picciano.
The two executives told channel partners about the moves. A formal announcement is expected Monday.
