RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Twenty-six firms from across the southeast will make presentations to potential investors at the fourth annual

The two-day event is set for Feb. 24 and 25 at Tysons Corner, Va.

As many as 60 firms, from early stage to a “showcase” for later stage, will be selected to make presentations.

“It’s a great time for technology companies and venture capital investors to come together,” said Steve Keeler, a partner with the law firm McGuireWoods and the planning chair for the conference. “Fourth quarter 2009 brought an upswing in venture investor optimism and activity – particularly in IT, health care and clean tech – and other industries that can leverage government stimulus.

“With a stabilizing economy, the stock market holding up and talk of a potential reopening of the IPO window, venture funds are telling us that 2010 could be one of the best years ever to invest,” he added.
