RALEIGH, N.C. – The is seeking applications for grants that will be awarded in 2010.

Companies can submit proposals through Jan. 19.

The N.C. General Assembly launched the fund in 2007 to help drive business development and innovation.

The fund focuses on:

1. Development and commercialization of the biofuels industry
2. Development and commercialization of the green building industry, and
3. Attraction and leverage of private sector investments and entrepreneurial growth in environmentally conscious clean technology and renewable energy products and businesses.

To begin the application process,

Funding will be made through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
