RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Cmed, which bills itself as a contract research organization combined with a tech development company, said Monday it is opening its second U.S. office in Durham.

Cmed, based in Horsham, England, has its other U.S. office in Murray Hill, N.J.

“We are very excited about establishing a second U.S. base, and our new offices in Durham, close to Research Triangle Park (RTP), are the perfect location for Cmed, CEO David Connelly said in an announcement. "RTP continues to be a model for innovation, education, and economic development, and our new offices will allow us to draw on the tremendously skilled work force in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and to get close to our customers to provide even better service."

The company’s CRO work employs its Timaeus technology, which it calls "the world’s most sophisticated and complete electronic data capture and management system."
