AT&T is launching its TV and high-speed Internet service in Chapel Hill, the communications giant announced Friday.

U-verse, which features some 100 channels, launched in Raleigh and other parts of the Triangle last December.

“Local residents have asked for more choices in television service and today we’re delivering,” said Cynthia Marshall, AT&T’s president for North Carolina.

AT&T delivers the services over its Internet Protocol-based network.
