Law firm , which focuses on high-tech, intellectual property and entrepreneurial ventures, is expanding its Asian footprint with a new office in Beijing, China.

Morris, Manning & Martin opened an office in Taiwan on April 1.

“Until the requisite approvals are received in both China and Taiwan, the offices will operate as business development centers,” the firm said in a statement.

Managing Partner Robert Saudek said the offices would deal with patent prosecution and potential litigation as well as corporate and securities matters. Morris, Manning & Martin’s Asian practice already includes numerous Mandarin speakers.
