RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – “Cloud computing” is all the rage right now as companies look to improve their IT capabilities while possibly cutting costs. But the trend remains new, many people still have questions, and Local Tech Wire is going to help get the answers.

Working in partnership with the Carolina SaaS (software as a service) User Group, LTW will put on two news-packed Executives Edge events in May to debate and discuss cloud computing from many angles. Each event will feature a keynote overview of the latest “cloud” trends followed by a panel discussion with executives from several leading tech firms sharing their advice, warnings and insider knowledge.

The first program is set for May 5 in Charlotte at Byron’s South End.

The second will be in Durham at the American Tobacco District.

Both events start at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $20 and includes lunch.

Kip Turco, chief operating officer at Hosted Solutions, will deliver the keynote and moderate the panel discussions at each event.

Panelists for the Durham event:

  • Brian Hamilton, President & CEO, Sageworks
  • Mike Donaldson, VP of Marketing, Ping Identity
  • Richard Qualls, Principal Field Technologist – Systems Engineering, Sun Microsystems
