Tech exec Bob Pickens joins CED as director of entrepreneurship

Bob Pickens, a veteran high tech executive, is joining the as its director of entrepreneurship.

Dhruv Patel, the previous director, will be the CED’s life sciences senior program manager.

Pickens has worked at a variety of firms, including games company Interactive Magic that he helped take public. Pickens has also worked for Virtual Heroes, First Research and Kaiser Aluminum.

As part of his duties, Pickens will restart a program for CED called “STREAK” that is designed to provide help for promising startup ventures.
