Pharmaceutical Strategic Initiatives (PSI) has hired Jeffrey New, BS, PharmD, as vice president of medical activities. He will be based in RTP.

New brings more than 17 years of pharmaceutical experience to PSI. His most recent work includes senior management responsibilities related to medical information, field-based medical liaisons, drug development strategy, drug safety/pharmacovigilance, and medical education and publications.

PSI’s founder and president, Charles Carter, called New an innovator in medical affairs, bringing valuable clinical and industry experience in the life sciences to PSI.

Prior to joining PSI, New was director of medical and scientific affairs at DEY, L.P., Inc, a subsidiary of Mylan Inc. in Napa, Calif.
