The , a non-profit group focused on increasing Chinese investment to North Carolina, is opening an office in Beijing as of Dec. 22.

The office will have a staff and a board of directors as well as an advisory board.

Opening the office is a result of a September visit by a trade delegation from North Carolina to China.

The N.C. China Center already operates an office in the Chinese city of Suzhou as well as in Research Triangle Park.

“The Beijing office will work closely with the NCCC office already operating in Suzhou Industrial Park and headquarters operating in RTP to expand the goals and mission of NCCC with Chinese investors, businesses, educational and cultural leaders,” NCC President Ling Xie said.

NCCC board members include representatives from Lenovo, Red Hat, N.C. State, Duke University, Catevo group and Longistics.
