, an Illinois-based firm that manufacturers automated equipment control devices, will expand its plant in Elizabethtown and add 79 jobs, Gov. Mike Easley said Monday.
Dynapar will receive a $150,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund. Such grants require a local match.
The firm will invest $1.5 million as part of the expansion effort.
“The Elizabethtown plant has been a part of the community for over 40 years,” said Ken Verhulst, vice president of operations at Dynapar. “It is great to have the support of the state and local government as we expand our operations here.”
The company also has a manufacturing plant in South Carolina.
