is partnering with DrugLogic to provide clients with faster analysis of clinical trial data.
PPD (Nasdaq: PPDI) is one of the world’s largest contract research organizations and works with drug firms in product development and trials.
CCS Informatics, a clinical and safety data management consulting service within PPD, will integrate DrugLogic surveillance and signal detection capabilities into its own adverse event reporting system. The program will analyze patterns in adverse effects of compounds that could mean drug safety risks.
“Early risk identification will enable faster response times and help to ensure drug safety compliance,” PPD said in a statement.
“As our clients continue to face new regulatory challenges, there is a strong need for clients to have fast, in-depth understanding of adverse events that could put patient safety at risk,” said Graham Downing, vice president of informatics at PPD.
