Entrepreneurs and scientists seeking funding support for biotechnology-related projects can access information about grants through an addition to the North Carolina Biotechnology Center’s Web site.
Called , the site is intended to help researchers access information from grant providers such as the National Institutes of Health and the Pentagon as well as other government resources and foundations.
The site also provides information on how to write grants,
“Successful grant-writing is a learned skill,” said Amber Walker, who is the Biotechnology Center’s corporate development manager. “Even for the most experienced grant-writing specialist, it is time-consuming and requires careful attention to detail.”
