Tackticks and FlowTack, two Durham firms focused on air pollution technology, have been sold to Fuel Tech (Nasdaq: FTEK), an Illinois-based firm.
The two Durham companies employ 11 people and generated $3 million in revenue in 2007.
Fuel Tech develops and acquires technology for use in air pollution control and also material production that is more environmentally friendly.
