David Shearer, a former clinical trial manager and research scientist at GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK), is joining as its chief medical officer.
Shearer also will serve as vice president for clinical operations. He worked most recently at MannKind Corp. as medical director for diabetes.
Integrated Clinical Trial Services provides clinical trial patient recruitment, enrollment, retention and adherence services to life-sciences clients.
Shearer has been involved in more than 100 clinical trials for drugs aimed at diseases ranging from diabetes to Alzheimer’s. He also has worked as a clinical compliance specialist at Wyeth and a senior clinical trial leader at Sanofi-Aventis.
