RALEIGH – 99.9 FM “The Fan,” the Triangle’s leading sports radio station on the FM dial, announced Friday the launch of its new website HighSchoolOT.com. The comprehensive website will be devoted to in-depth coverage of prep sports.
“As a local sports station, we are excited to engage with area’s High School students, athletes and fans,” said Mike Morgan, General Manager of 99.9 FM “The Fan.” “Giving the local High School athlete a forum to celebrate their hard work and success is important to us and should be fun for them.”
Each week, station hosts from The Insiders, Scott Jackson and Mark Thomas, will broadcast the Friday evening show “ESPN Gameday Style” from one lucky “Game of the Week” high school. Every Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., the Station will air HighSchoolOT, our special high school sports show, including exclusive interviews, game scores and highlights.
The first “Game of the Week” will be held at Garner High School on Friday. “The Insiders” will broadcast live as the Garner Trojans take on the Millbrook Wildcats in first Football game of the season.
HighSchoolOT will debut on Saturday, Aug. 30.
