TeleHealth Services, which provides communications services ranging from bedside entertainment to interactive training for the healthcare industry, is buying out Pathware, one of its competitors.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
TeleHealth now will deliver Pathware’s “Instant HealthLine” product, which is an on-demand video system for education, entertainment and other information for use by patients at hospitals.
Pathware was formerly part of SVI Healthcare.
"We approached SVI following their decision in June to exit the business," said George Fleming, TeleHealth’s chief executive officer. "We welcome all Pathware/SVI customers to the TeleHealth family and are excited to provide service and support to those customers in carrying out their mission of providing patient education and entertainment to their patients, family and staff. “
TeleHealth has more than 250 customers for its own product suite. Pathware had some 150 customers.
