is expanding the reach of its self-publishing venture by adding a printer in Australia.
The facility will enable Lulu.com customers in Australia, Southeast Asia and New Zealand to get printed books, materials and other self-published merchandise more quickly and cheaply, the company said.
Lulu.com has more than 1.3 million users spread across 80 countries.
Writers, musicians, poets and other artists use Lulu.com to self-publish their works. Both the artist and Lulu.com share in royalties.
"With this outstanding printer joining the Lulu printing network, customers in this area no longer have to pay more for shipping than they often did for the book,” said Andrew Pate, vice president for global fulfillment at Lulu.com. “They will also receive their Lulu creations quicker from technology that delivers the best of breed print quality in the industry.”
