Radiant Systems (Nasdaq: RADS) is expanding its footprint in the hospitality services industry, acquiring Orderman GmbH, a manufacturer of wireless handheld ordering and payment devices.
Radiant will pay $30.85 million in cash for Orderman.
Orderman is based in Austria. Its point-of-sale devices are used in restaurants, cafes, arenas and ski resorts. Orderman devices are used in 45 countries and works with several hundred resellers.
“Orderman’s innovative, mobile devices are widely recognized in the European hospitality marketplace,” said Radiant Chief Executive Officer John Heyman. “This acquisition puts Radiant in an excellent position to further accelerate the adoption of mobile devices in the global hospitality sector and to bring additional innovations to market across all of the industries we serve.”
