Two products from Linux software developer Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) and another from SAS were named winners in the Software & Information Industry Association’s 2008 CODiE Awards.

Red Hat was named best in open-source solution for its Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 offering.

Red Hat’s Directory Server took the award for best identity-management solution.

SAS’ Curriculum Pathways was named the top K-12 instructional product.

The CODiE awards were launched in 1986. There were winners this year in 76 categories.
