Carpio Solutions, a provider of software and information technology services, is gearing up for planned expansion efforts by hiring a chief financial officer.

Laurens Albada, a finance executive at Misys healthcare Systems, is joining Carpio as its CFO. Carpio recently closed on its first venture funding, the amount of which was not disclosed, and the company said the funds would be used to fuel growth and acquisitions.

Palladium Equity Partners made the investment in Carpio.

“Laurens possesses unique skills hard to find in a CFO; his exceptional capacity for high level strategic thinking and his willingness to roll up his sleeves to get the job done make him a perfect fit for Carpio,” said Carpio Chief Executive Officer Marco Fregenal. “His high energy and keen understanding of a target audience for us, the CFO, make him a strong addition to our management team.”

Albada, a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, earned an MBA at the American Graduate School of International Management.
