Shares in Lenovo fell more than 5 percent Tuesday following news that IBM had sold off more of its stake in the world’s No. 4 PC maker.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) sold $83.6 million, or 116 million shares, in Lenovo stock. Lenovo shares trade on the Hong Kong exchange. The price dropped to $5.64 in local currency, down 33 cents.

The IBM sale was the second this year. It sold 7.5 percent of its Lenovo stock on Feb. 29.

IBM acquired 19 percent of Lenovo’s shares as part of the 2005 deal in which it sold its PC division to Lenovo for $1.25 billion.

IBM still owns about 6.5 percent of Lenovo’s shares, according to Dow Jones News Service.
