Connectivity Source Inc. has recruited Dan Potter, a former major account manager for Sprint, to oversee sales of it nationwide brokerage of local and long-distance lines, VOIP, dedicated Internet, Ethernet, and MPLS services.

Potter will manage existing agent partners who sell Connectivity services and recruit new agent/dealers in a push to grow its presence.

“We’ve got just over 120 agent partners now, and my goal is to grow that number by 50 percent each of the next two years,” said Potter, in his new role as agent partner manager for Connectivity. “We see the economic slowdown as a real opportunity for growth because we typically save our clients 10 to 30 percent on their phone and data services.”

Originally from Jacksonville, Potter attended college at N.C. State University before starting his sales career with Sears’ contract sales division. He then worked 11 years at Pitney Bowes, most recently as district sales manager in Raleigh. Potter recently retired from a Sprint after a 20-year career in sales, where he was the No. 1 major account manager in the country three times.

“Dan is a true professional that knows how to service his clients and make them happy,” said Scott Langdon, vice president of sales and marketing at Connectivity Source. “He’s got the track record to prove it, and that’s why we are so excited to have him working [here].”
