Wendy Kuhn, a veteran communications executive and consultant, is the new program management leader at MCNC, the organization that operates the North Carolina Research and Education Network.
Kuhn most recently served as director of business relationship management for the North Carolina Office of Information Technology. Before joining ITS, Kuhn worked for 12 years as a consultant Booz, Allen & Hamilton and with Keane.
MCNC is working with various state government agencies to expand its services from kindergarten through college.
“Through her extensive government sector and leadership experience, Wendy brings a keen understanding of local, state and federal government structures and existing relationships, which adds enormous value to MCNC as we continue expanding our partnerships with government agencies,” said MCNC Chief Executive Officer Joe Freddoso.
Kuhn earned a Master’s in public administration from Columbia University and a Master’s in economics from N.C. State. She received an undergraduate degree in American culture at Vassar College.
