ACN, which touts itself as the “largest direct selling telecommunications company in the world,” is looking to hire some 300 people at its new headquarters in Concord.

The Michigan-based company, which says it also is the largest distributor of video phones, recently decided to relocate to North Carolina. It purchased the former headquarters complex of CT Communications for nearly $14 million.

CT Communications was acquired last year by Arkansas-based Windstream Communications, which decided to sell the CT campus. It is adjacent to Interstate 85.

“We’re thrilled to bring all of our U.S. operations together in one location, and what better place to do that than in the Charlotte and Concord area,” said Robert Stevanovski, a co-founder and chairman of CAN said. “We’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our growth and involvement in the area.”
The company operates in 19 countries. It works with providers to help consumers find local and long-distance calling, wireless and Internet services.

ACN will receive $187,000 in local tax incentives to relocate to Concord.

The 300 jobs are being created since some current CAN employees will not relocate to North Carolina from Michigan, the company said in a statement.

Jobs are available in finance, human resources, billing, digital phone operations, information technology, application development, customer care and training as well as other departments.
