“Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures,” the massively multiplayer online game from Funcom, will be released on May 20.

The game, which has already won several awards, has been delayed several times. Funcom said on Monday that the company needed a further two months of development in order to “deliver a more polished MMO experience.”

Funcom is based in Europe and maintains its U.S. operation in Durham.

“Even though we regret delaying the launch, I am certain we made the right choice,” said Gaute Godager. “I hope that our followers and fans will support our decision and respect our commitment to quality.”
