North Carolina executives will gather in the Triad next March 26 and 27 to discuss opportunities in nanotechnology.

The third annual N.C. Nanotech Conference will take place on the campus of Salem College.

Dixon Johnson, chief operations officer of Triad-based Quartek Corporation’s NanoAccelerator, told a recent gathering of executives that nanotech products could have a value of $1 trillion over the next 10-15 years. However, he said better methods need to be developed to speed up the commercialization of those products.

The focus of the conference will be commercialization.
