A variety of companies from around the southeast make up the first 17 companies picked to present at the second annual Southeast Venture Conference.

The event is set for Feb. 27-28 at Tysons Corner, Va.

As many as 40 companies will be picked to present to potential investors. According to the conference organizers, venture capitalists and others representing more than $40 billion under management are already scheduled to attend.
