CHAPEL HILL- Near-Time, a startup focused on its Web-hosted collaboration publishing system, has cracked the EContent magazine’s seventh annual “100” list.

The list recognizes companies ranging from Adobe to Microsoft and Apple as well as IBM for digital content.

Near-Time, which has 17 employees, was recognized for its technology that combines wikis, weblogs and other so-called Web 2.0 collaborative technologies.

“We feel that wikis are taking their rightful place as one of the most easy-to-use collaborative tools in the enterprise, and Near-Time is one of the leaders in this space,” said Michelle Manafy, editor-in-chief of EContent.
