AAIPharma has expanded for the second time in a week, this time opening an office in Budapest, Hungary.

The newest office, in addition to an operation just launched in South Africa, gives the contract research organization and drug development firm a presence in 14 countries.

The Budapest operation, which has seven people, augments AAIPharma’s presence in Europe. The company also has offices in Russia and Croatia.

“Central and Eastern Europe is one of most dynamic regions to run clinical trials” said Ludo Reynders, AAIPharma’s chief executive officer. “Hungary, with its population of 10 million, good hospital infrastructure and the availability of patients, is recognized as a key country in this region.

"As the needs of our biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers to run global clinical trials are ever increasing, it is important that we continue to expand our international presence in key regions such as this to meet these demands.”
