Video game companies from across the Triangle are teaming up for a technology expo and job fair.

The event is set for Nov. 17.

Companies are looking to fill some 100 jobs in a variety of positions.

The Triangle region has developed into a hot bed for game companies, such as Epic Games in Cary, Red Storm Entertainment in Morrisville and Emergent Game Technologies, a California-based firm that has a major operation in Chapel Hill.

Participants in the event include:

• Themis-Group
• Wake Tech
• Red Storm
• cdv Software Entertainment USA
• School of Communication Art
• Icarus Studio
• North Carolina State University

The Video Game Technology Showcase & Career Fair is believed to be the first such event put on by companies and affiliated institutions in the Triangle.

Available jobs include technical, marketing and sales.

The event will start at 10 a.m., and a reception begins at 3 p.m. at One Eleven Place, 111 Realtors Way in Cary.

There is no charge to attend.
