Connexion Technologies, a builder and owner of high-speed private networks for communities and other properties, named a new chief executive officer as well as a chief financial officer on Monday.
John Mueller, a telecommunications industry veteran, is the new CEO. Peter Ley, a former Bank of America executive, takes over as new CFO.
Glen Lang, the company’s founder and a former mayor of Cary, will remain on the company’s board and work on business development and strategy.
Connexion builds fiber-to-the-premises networks for high-speed data and video services.
“Jack and Peter’s extensive experience in the public markets and their history of managing large public telecommunications companies make them ideal leaders for this company,” Lang said in a statement.
Mueller has nearly 30 years of experience in networking, including the taking of Valor Communications public in 2002. He is a former president of Cincinnati Bell.
Ley has more than 20 years of experience in finance and communications. A former CFO at Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Ley most recently worked as a senior media and telecom investment banker at Bank of America Securities.
