Tom Friedman, a Pulitzer Prize winning columnist for The New York Times, will be one of the keynote speakers for the 2008 Emerging Issues Forum at North Carolina State University.
The focus of the forum is “North Carolina’s Energy Futures: Realizing a State of Opportunity.”
Friedman is the best-selling author of numerous books, including “The World Is Flat.” He will discuss energy challenges from the state to national level and how North Carolina might capitalize on opportunities such as alternative fuels based on renewable resources.
The conference is set for Feb. 11-12 at NCSU.
