Pamela Pace Lackey, a veteran executive with AT&T, is the new president for AT&T South Carolina.

Lackey’s most recent position with the telecommunications company was director of government relations in South Carolina. She was actively involved in the state’s passage of changes in video reform legislation.

“This is an exciting time for our company and consumers in South Carolina,” Lackey said in a statement. “The recent passage of video reform legislation and the investment announcement for the state will ensure new products, competition and choices to our consumers.”

Lackey replaces Gregg Morton, who transferred in September to become president of AT&T Tennessee.

A native of Mississippi, Lackey graduated from the University of Alabama.
