DataPath, a provider of satellite and wireless communication networks, has won a $8.7 million order with the U.S. Marine Corps.
The deal calls for DataPath to provide upgrades and support for the Marines’ support wide area network. Part of the deal calls for additional satellite network portable terminals.
During 2007, the Marines have ordered more than $50 million in supplies, equipment and support from DataPath.
The Marine network is an integrated Internet Protocol-based system that provides communications and video information, including surveillance information from remote-controlled drones.
