PowerSecure International, a developer and manufacturer of energy conserving and emergency lighting solutions, has formed a subsidiary that will focus on grocery stores.
EfficientLights will design and produce lighting that the company believes will reduce energy costs “substantially.”
Its lead product is a light emitting diode for freezer lighting. A number of demonstration products have already been installed at some retailers.
According to EfficientLights, the LED system uses one-third the energy of a fluorescent unit and also will last longer.
