Wilmington and the Raleigh-Cary area rank second and 10th respectively in sustaining and creating jobs, according to a report from the Milken Institute.

The report is due to be released today. The Wilmington Star-News reported the survey results on its Web site on Tuesday.

Wilmington jumped to second from 59th, and Raleigh-Cary climbed to 10th from 45th, according to The News & Observer. Charlotte ranked 23rd.
