CARY- Murray Ducharme, a veteran executive in the life science industry, is the new chief science officer at contract research organization Cetero Research.

Cetero recently has acquired several other firms and expanded its services for early clinical, bioanalytical and later-stage research services.

Ducharme, who earned a doctorate in pharmacy at Wayne State University, most recently was vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs at Allied Research International in Toronto. He has also has taught at the University of Montreal for the past 13 years, and he has been widely published on pharmacokinetics and infectious diseases.
