Real Cities Network Adds 51 Web Sites

Real Cities Network, which operates low news Web sites across the U.S., is adding another 51 Web sites from MediaNews Group to its operation.

The latest expansion pushes the RealCities Network past more than 1,500 sites. RealCities had already operated 31 MediaNews Group sites.

RealCities is part of McClatchy Interactive. McClatchy Interactive is part of the McClatchy news chain. Among its properties are the News & Observer in Raleigh, the Charlotte Observer and The State in Columbia, S.C.

The new sites joining the network were operated by MediaNews in California, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and several New England states.

MediaNews is based in Colorado.
