Windstream Closes on $585M Deal for CT Communications

Windstream Corporation has closed on its $585 million acquisition of CT Communications.

CT Communications provides a variety of communications primarily around Concord.

Windstream (NYSE: WIN) is the landline phone company spun off from Alltel. It has more than 3.3 million access lines in use and 782,000 broadband customers. CTC had some 156,000 access lines and 29,500 broadband customers.

Windstream offers services in 16 states.
