Jay Trepanier, a former executive at SAS subsidiary DataFlux, is the new chief operating officer at Smart Online.
The company provides business applications through a software as a service model.
Thomas Furr, who had been COO at Smart Online, is now chief strategy officer.
Trepanier was chief operations and financial officer at DataFlux. He earned a Master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
“I believe Jay’s operational experience, along with Tom’s continued focus on assisting me with the overall strategic direction of the company, will be an excellent combination to further the company’s growth,” said Michael Nouri, Smart Online’s chief executive officer.
