Business is growing for PokerTek, a provider of automated poker tables and services, but so are its losses.
PokerTek (Nasdaq: PTEK) reported Monday a $2.8 million loss, up from $2.2 million in the same quarter a year ago.
However, the company also said the number of its PokerPro tables increased to 135 from 81 as of March 31 and 14 one year ago. Revenues increased to $916,000 for the three months ending June 30, up from $314,000 a year ago.
Increased expenses included employee costs, research and development and sales efforts.
