Consonus Hires VilCom Exec as Chief Operating Officer

Consonus Technologies, which has filed plans to go public, has hired John Roger as its chief operating officer.

Roger’s most recent position was as COO at VilCom, a media company based in Chapel Hill. He worked at General Electric for 21 years before joining VilCom.

Consonus was formed in January through the merger of Cary-based Strategic Technologies and Utah-based Consonus. The firm filed plans in April for a $57.5 million public offering.

Roger is a graduate of Penn State University.
