Metretek Technologies, which recently moved its headquarters to Wake Forest, is changing its name and moving its stock listing.

As of Aug. 22, Metretek will take the name of PowerSecure, its largest subsidiary. Its stock will move from the AMEX to NASDAQ and use the symbol POWR.

Metretek provides what it calls “interactive distributed generation” systems for backup and improved energy use. It also sells energy measurement products, services and data management systems.

In its latest quarterly results announced Wednesday, Metretek lost $13. 9 million on revenues of $24.1 million. Of the losses, $14.1 million were due to company restructuring and moving the company’s headquarters.
