Communications Capital Group, a startup focused on investments in wireless infrastructure investments, has landed $200 million in financing from RBS Greenwich Capital.

The firm, also known as ComCap, acquires ground leases for cellular towers and other wireless infrastructure assets.

Greenwich is a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us," said Michael DeMita III, ComCap’s chief executive officer. "First, with the stature of RBS Greenwich Capital, we have an impressive financial sponsor that really understands our business. Second, the substantial capital infusion and funding will accelerate our growth and expand our capability to provide competitive alternatives for our customers in the U.S. and other international markets."

ComCap’s partners and principals have been involved in numerous wireless related transactions in the past, including financing and acquisitions of hundreds of wireless sites.
